About Thanet Lions Club
During the current crisis Lions around the world are finding ways to help their community. Some members are in the front line and others helping with food and prescription deliveries.
We have already supplied equipment to QEQM hospital and are looking to makes grants to local people who are making masks to increase PPE to the front line.
Since January Thanet Lions have been helping initially at the Vaccination surgeries in MInster and Birchington, mainly car parking in the rain and snow, but more lately we have been the mainstay of the volunteers helping at the SAGA Vaccination centre. So far since January members have given over 800 hours of service to this our community. This had enabled SAGA to have reached 100,000 vaccinations so far.  If you would like to help at the vaccination centre please contact us, we always need even more help.

Obviously our fundraising has been very difficult but we have managed to secure some grants and used some fun Easter basket competitions which has brought in some money so we continue to help those really in need.

If you are reading this and have been volunteering yourself during the pandemic, we don't need to tell you how good it makes you feel . So why not come and speak to us and have fun serving the community of Thanet into the future.
